Program Area: Capacity Building

Staff contact: Paul Beaudet, Associate Director

Wilburforce Foundation is committed to developing individual and organizational competencies and capabilities that contribute to sustainability and effectiveness. We do this by underwriting capacity-building services for our grantees so they can increase their knowledge and skills in areas such as:

  • Leadership development
  • Governance
  • Fundraising and resource development
  • Financial management
  • Strategic planning
  • Evaluation
  • Messaging and communications
  • Public engagement and mobilization
  • Technology
  • Collaborations and partnerships

The Capacity Building Program does not accept grant applications. Instead, we fund a limited number of service providers to work directly with our programmatic grantees.

We are supporting the following organizations for work in this area. When you click on an organization name you will see a list of all grants made to that organization, which may include projects funded in other program areas.
