Paul Beaudet is the Associate
Director. He always imagined that he would one day grow up to “integrate
evaluation practices into the foundation's operations and works with
key capacity building service providers to help grantees plan,
manage and sustain their organizations and programs.” Dreams do come
true! Paul has worked for nonprofit
organizations since 1985 on behalf of the environment, education,
the arts, and social justice. He is currently a member of the
Visiting Committee of the Nonprofit Leadership Program at Seattle
University, and serves on the Advisory Board of the Center for
Effective Philanthropy. He, his husband, and Kari (a lovable but
neurotic Karelian Bear Dog) split their time between Seattle and Guemes Island.

Liz Bell,
is the Program Associate for the Northwest/Southwest
Program Area. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2006 she
worked as an advisor to private land conservation organizations,
including nearly 10 years strengthening the excellence of land trusts in the Pacific Northwest.
Previous employment included stints as the
Director of Land Protection for The Nature Conservancy/Massachusetts
and Executive Director of the Essex County Greenbelt Association
(MA). Liz was a 2004 recipient of the Conservation Leadership Award
from the Wilburforce Foundation. A bike commuter with an enviable
commute on the Burke-Gilman Trail she is also involved in animal
rescue.

Joel Clement,
Program Officer for the
Conservation Science Program, is an ecologist with a background
in biodiversity studies and environmental policy. Prior to coming to
the Foundation, Joel was an independent consultant and contributed
to research and conservation programs in Alaska, Canada, Chile,
Costa Rica, Dominica, Madagascar, and the Pacific Northwest. He has
received support from the National Geographic Society for
biodiversity field research in Chile and was featured in National
Geographic Magazine for his field studies in North America. He looks
forward to the day his job becomes obsolete and he can spend his
days sailing, hiking, writing fiction, and telling stories about how
the threat of dramatic climate change gave birth to a global
conservation movement of unprecedented scale and influence.

Jeanne Cragin,
Office Manager, is responsible for keeping our many office systems
running smoothly. Jeanne came to us from the Executive Alliance,
where she worked as the Operations and Events Manager. She
also has 20 years of experience as a professional chef, and is the
former manager of catering operations for the Hi Spot Café in the
Madrona neighborhood. Jeanne has a B.S. in Social Work from Boise
State University. In her spare time, Jeanne enjoys cooking, eating,
traveling and long walks with her husband Kevin and dog Ari.

Tim Greyhavens, Executive
Director, oversees the administrative, financial and planning
functions of the Foundation. He also serves as program officer
for the Foundation's
Conservation Law and Policy program. Tim proudly points
out that except for one not-so-proud day he has worked for nonprofit
organizations his entire life, including the Humane Society of the
United States and the International Snow Leopard Trust.
Recently he completed the Executive Program for Philanthropy Leaders
at Stanford University, and currently he serves on the Board of Directors of the Consultative Group on
Biological Diversity. Tim is an avid photographer, traveler and explorer, and he has a
fierce passion for fair-trade, organically grown, single-source
chocolate, especially from Madagascar (not that he's picky or
anything).

Denise Joines, Program Officer, is responsible for the
Foundation's grantmaking in its Northwest/Southwest Program Area.
Denise has spent her professional career entirely in the
not-for-profit sector, working in leadership roles with
environmental and humane organizations. Before coming to the
Foundation Denise was
the Executive Director of ONE/Northwest, dedicated to protecting the
environment through the effective use of electronic networking
technologies. Prior to ONE/Northwest, she was Assistant Regional
Director at Greenpeace and administered their programs throughout
the Pacific Northwest. Denise has a B.S. in Zoology from Indiana
University, and she is a board member of The International Canopy
Network and the Progressive Technology Project.

Amy McNamara
is our Program Associate for the Yellowstone to Yukon Program, based
in Bozeman, Montana. Amy joined the Foundation in 2009. Previously
she directed the National Parks Program for the Greater Yellowstone
Coalition, working with local residents, businesses and elected
officials to protect the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.
Before coming to Bozeman Amy worked for the Appalachian Mountain
Club in Boston. She has an M.S. in Biology from the University of Louisville and a B.A.
in Biology from Colgate University. In her free time, Amy may
be found hiking, backpacking, biking or skiing in the Greater
Yellowstone.

Jennifer Miller is currently Program Officer for Wilburforce
Foundation’s Yellowstone to Yukon Program, based in Bozeman,
Montana. Jennifer joined the Foundation in 2001 and is responsible
for its grantmaking and strategy development to protect wildlife and
targeted wildlands in Y2Y. Jennifer has nearly fifteen years of
experience in the nonprofit sector, working in higher education,
social justice, and the environment. She holds an M.A. from the
University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and volunteers as a board
member of the Montana Outdoor Science School. In her spare time, Jennifer is
working towards her black belt in Taekwondo, developing the next
generation’s appreciation for kicking and yelling. Jennifer creates
balance in the Force by eating enough chocolate in the Bozeman
office to match Tim in the Seattle office.

Yolanda Morris, Grants Manager,
has been working in the nonprofit sector since 1999. Her main focus has been in the
animal welfare field. When working with an organization, she
especially enjoys being involved with volunteer management, special
events, fundraising development, and increasing the strength of the
organization to help achieve their mission. Yolanda is co-founder
and on the Board of Directors of Pawsitive Alliance representing WA
state; a coalition member of Spay/Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP)
in Yakima. She completed her B.A. in Environmental
Studies from Evergreen State College and received an M.P.A. from the
University of Washington. Yolanda is the proud parent of
two rescued dogs, Leah and Lucas.

Carol Orr
joined the program staff of Wilburforce Foundation in 2007 as Program Associate
for the Alaska and British Columbia region. She has been with the Foundation since
2001, first as Office Manager, then Grants Administrator. Prior to joining Wilburforce,
Carol was the Information Systems Manager at Philanthropy Northwest, a grantmakers
association working to promote thoughtful and strategic philanthropy in the region.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Humanities from Western Washington University. Along
with her family, she enjoys volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. A lifelong
resident of Washington State, Carol loves exploring the waters of Puget Sound and
Desolation Sound. She and her husband are avid skiers, but, to their chagrin, have
spawned snowboarders.

Dave Secord, Program Officer for Alaska and British Columbia, joined Wilburforce
in 2007. A marine ecologist, he was formerly a professor at the
University of Washington, where he retains affiliate faculty
appointments in Biology and Marine Affairs. In 11 years at UW, he
founded and/or directed two award-winning interdisciplinary
environmental studies programs. Dave has a B.A. in Ecology and
Evolution from Pomona College and a Ph.D. in Zoology from the
University of Washington. He has been a Fellow of the Aldo Leopold
Leadership Program and the International Canadian Studies
Institute. He loves combining his background in experimental field
ecology with the art of strategic grantmaking. He and his wife Amy
love travel, coffee, urban hiking, coffee, caves, coffee, Indian
food, coffee, live theater, coffee and their demented cats Franklin
and Eleanor.
